Sesamöl Oil Chee Seng

Sesame oil is very versatile! It is made from 100% sesame seeds and is a vegetable oil. In Korea, Japan, China, India and other Southeast Asian countries it is used both for cooking and for garnishing. In salads, with meat or in soup, just a few drops will refine the dish.

Sesame oil is also very healthy. In 100ml it covers 17% of an adult's daily requirement of vitamin K. Sesame oil has a very high smoke point (this is the temperature at which the oil starts to smoke when heated), so it is ideal for deep-frying or roasting.

Sesame oil was one of the first oils to be extracted from agriculture, but even today it is still one of the more expensive oils, as efficient harvesting processes have not yet been found in mass production and oil extraction often has to be done by hand.
